About Dina Giovanetti, APRN-C

Dina started her training at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, where she earned a dual major in Biology and Microbiology. She was inducted into Sigma Phi Sigma, the National Mercy Honor Society in 1986, and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1989. After completing her degree, she worked as a research assistant in a lab in Rhode Island studying HIV in 1989.

After moving to Florida, Dina completed a Biology of Nursing program at Florida Atlantic University. There she was inducted in the National Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau, and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1995. Her nursing career started in 1995 in the emergency room at Columbia Hospital (JFK North) in West Palm Beach and at St. Mary’s Hospital as a trauma nurse. She worked for six years in the emergency room and trauma ICU. Dina then returned to FAU for her Masters in Nursing, graduating Magna Cum Laude. There she was asked to instruct her class in many high-level procedures such as suturing.

Dina was then certified as a family nurse practitioner and practiced in the emergency room and in women’s health for ten years. She devoted the next 11 years to practicing hematology and oncology. Her specialty was blood disorders, including managing hematological problems for cardiothoracic surgery patients.

As a physical fitness and health enthusiast, Dina is an avid runner, weightlifter, and competitive endurance athlete. She has taught and coached many aspects of fitness and worked with older adults, adults, and children for the last 20 years, including coaching soccer and defensive tackle football.

Dina has worked with Dr. Campazzi in many different settings for the last 15 years.
